Exodus 6-10
PassageIn Exodus chapters 6-10 Moses and his brother Aaron approach Pharoah to carry out what God had instructed them to do. Tell Pharoah to let God’s people go. Seemed like an easy request, once they got over the thought that they were asking a major world leader to release around two million slaves, but when God is behind the request, all should go as planned, or at least that is what we think in our mind.
Many times we think that just because God is asking us to do something it will work out as we plan, there will be no pain, we will have all the answers, and out problems will go away. This did not happen for the Israelites. Pharoah made it even worse for them, and they resented Moses for it. Moses was upset with God, and forgot that it was not Moses’ plan, but God’s.
What Moses learned is that when God gets involved, He changes the hearts of people, He changes their perspectives and how they think, then behaviors and attitudes change, ultimately breaking the pride of believers. Once God has our attention, we can begin to see the Kingdom plan and are able to relinquish our will for His, and allow God to take control of our spirit. Only then are we able to carry out God’s plan for our lives.
