Psalms 25

Passage

David’s Psalm asks God to not let his enemy triumph over him. We first think of David’s enemies as Goliath, Saul, or his son Absalom. If we look deeper it appears that David is dealing with a more close enemy, his own flesh. An enemy we are all too familiar with.

David mentions that if he would only wait on God he woul dbe delivered from the enemy, instead of giving in to his desires. Many times we could benefit from this advice when we are faced with our own challenges, but we do not understand God’s timing, and fail to listen to His guidance. Often we are just in a hurry to get things done and move on.

As we look at God’s character, we realize that being in a hurry is not one of them. Let’s take time to be in the Word, and pray that we learn to wait for God to show us the perfect way.
