Passage

Solomon has built the Great Temple and has dedicated it to God, whose glory came down from heaven and filled the Temple with smoke so dense the priests were not able to enter. Solomon realized that God is so big there is no building that can hold Him. Solomon asked God several conditions when the people have turned away, with God hear them when they pray at the Temple, and God responded that He would.

God is not only around when there is light, but during darkness and trouble He is still there waiting for us to acknowledge Him. As we walk in the light we are able to see both the good and bad that confronts us. It is our choice which we will follow. When we have gone astray we need to heed God’s message to Solomon to humble ourselves and return, then He will heal and restore us.
