Ruth & 1 Samuel 1-2

Passage

The stories of Naomi, Hannah and Eli tell of great hardship and difficulties in their lives and families. Naomi had to flee to another country due to a famine and there she lost her husband and sons. Hannah was without child and faced shame and ridicule. Eli was a priest who had sons that did not follow God.

Through these difficulties each had a choice to make. They could sulk in their current life situation or they could trust that God has a plan. They each chose to follow God and you can read about the results. May times in our lives we have those times of difficulties, but when we put our hope in God, we knw that He has a plan and will guide us through.
