John 18:1-10
This week in John we read about the time of Jesus’ arrest. In verse 6 we see the Power of God observed and experienced by both the soldiers and the Disciples. Peter’s response is to take action, but how often do we react with our emotions instead of trusting in God’s plan.
We continue with the account of Peter’s denial, described in detail throughout the gospels. It may not be his highlight story, but God used this experience later as he confronted the people in Acts as one who has been there, and understands.
How many times do we pick and choose our highlight stories, while hiding the things others may judge us on? We not only need to remember that nothing happens without God, but we need to trust that He will use all of our experiences, and challenges (good or bad) for His plan.
