Job 19-21
PassageJob continues to attempt to understand why God is letting this happen to him. Through his suffering and comments from his friends, he cries out to God asking, maybe demanding, that he is provided an answer. Our response to trials is often the same. We want to understand God and why He is doing what He does.
Instead of questioning God and seeking answers to help console our own desires, maybe we should take action on our faith and trust that God has it in control. Of course this requires us to surrender ourselves daily to God’s will for our lives.
It’s this extra step that draws us closer to God and fills us with the peace that He provides. When we get to the end of Job’s story we see that Job never finds out why this happened, but we do see that through it Job discovered God.
